Florence Gould Hall (55 East 59th St.) The Once Upon A Ballet family series is designed for children ages 3 and up. Mother GOOSE! is loosely structured around a day in the life of The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe with her clutch of peripatetic children with whom she knows not what to do -- Jack and Jill, Nanny Etticoat, Jack Be Nimble, Mary Quite Contrary and Wee Willie Winkie. This one-hour ballet is centered on the children’s apple pie midday snack and their play-acting of Old King Cole and His Fiddlers Three and Three Blind Mice. Mother Goose! will also feature the eccentric alternative family "The Littles" (Little Boy Blue, Little Bo Peep, and Little Miss Muffet) and a cameo appearance from The Old Goose herself. Mozart's Birthday
Carnegie Hall invites kids of all ages to celebrate Mozart’s 250th birthday in Isaac Stern Auditorium.
Join Mozart as he tells tales of growing up in Salzburg and Vienna; traveling throughout Europe performing with his sister Nannerl; and composing music, even before he could write down the notes himself! Mozart’s stories are brought to life through performances of his music and sing-alongs with the audience. Color drawings illustrating Mozart’s time are projected on the back wall of the auditorium.
The concert features celebrated educator Jamie Bernstein, in wig and full 18th-century attire, as the exuberant young Mozart, and Michael Barrett conducting the Orchestra of St. Luke’s.
