How to Feed a Teenage Boy: Recipes and Strategies

by Georgia Orcutt

Did you know?
• Teenage boys need even more calcium than girls and women do.
• Many protein supplements--a favorite among boys looking to bulk up-- aren't even usable by the body.
• 76% of teenage boys never eat fruits or vegetables.

For an American teenage boy, hitting the four food groups often means a burger, fries, soda, and a candy bar. In the age of fast food, how can parents help their hungry sons eat right without spending untold hours in the grocery store and kitchen? With this cookbook and nutrition guide in one, parents will help their sons grow up strong and develop healthy eating habits for life. SRP $14.95

We All Use Math Every Day Program

Teens are always asking the question about math, "When am I ever going to use this stuff? " To help answer this question, the hit CBS show "NUMB3BS" and Texas Instruments have partnered to create "We All Use Math Every Day," an exciting math program which provides free classroom activities created by teachers and mathematicians to help students explore the math concepts used to solve crimes in the show. This program provides free classroom activities online that help students explore the math derived from the concepts highlighted in each show. New activities are posted weekly. Improving math education and motivating teens to challenge themselves in math is an important issue that all parents face. The program has won numerous national awards in recognition of its innovation and impact on inspiring greater math achievement.
