JCC of Staten Island

We offer a full compendium of services for children including Marvin’s Camp, a summer camp for children with developmental delays, and Camp Independence, a camp for children with diabetes.

In addition, First Foot Forward, our special education preschool for ages 3-5, provides services for children with speech and language, motor and cognitive delays. Our Kids Club for Special Kids offers after school activities for children with autism in an inclusive and accepting environment. Other programs include the Buddies programs which offer peer support for teens with autism, Music for Autism concerts and the annual Reelabilities NY Disabilities Film Festival.

    Participants make a large-scale machine that demonstrates how waves work using wooden dowels, duct tape, and gummy candy. We will also demonstrate a simple oscilloscope that uses a laser beam to show how sound waves look. For ages 13 -18
