Early Start – Home-based Early Intervention Program
How is my child developing? This is a question asked by many parents and caregivers. At times, the answer to this question may be uncertain. If you have particular concerns about your child’s development, there are services available that can evaluate and address the exact areas of concern. If eligible, we can provide home-based therapy. Early Start is an early intervention program that evaluates and provides therapeutic services for children, birth to 3 years old, who are suspected or are known to have developmental delays or disabilities. Early Start provides evaluations and services in the following areas:
OT – Fine Motor and Sensory Integration
PT – Gross Motor
ST – Speech/language and feeding
Developmental – Infant Stimulation
Early Start has been providing quality home based early intervention services for over 27 years. All therapists are certified, licensed, or Board Certified Behavior Analysts. Elise Vetere PhD., ABSNP is the Founder and Director. She is a licensed psychologist, is a Diplomate in School Neuropsychology, is currently involved in research involving early signs of ASD, and lectures on topics including “The Psychology of the Exceptional Child” and “Applied Behavior Analysis”.
Early Start is funded and regulated by NYC DOHMH. All children must be referred to NYC’s DOH in order to access early intervention services. If you are interested in having your child evaluated or have concerns to be further discussed, please call us at the numbers provided below.
