5 Boros to Freedom: Abolition in Staten Island

June 8 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free w/admission

Join historian Debbie-Ann Paige for a presentation about sites and events of significance in Staten Island’s Underground Railroad history. This program is part of 5 Boros to Freedom, a city-wide effort to remember and honor the first generations of Africans in New York, their resilience and creativity, and the bonds they built among the various people brought to NYC from Africa.

5 Boros to Freedom looks to touch the past and investigate its relevance to the present.
