Summer Reading Kick-Off: Mutt-i-grees

June 20 @ 3:30 pm

Free

The North Shore Animal League brings in a shelter animal to show the wonders of empathy. Working together to create an adoption poster, teens help an animal to find a forever home – they give voice to the voiceless. A resource for families who want their children to grow up to be caring and compassionate. This program will also include a guideline for parents/guardians on how to enhance your child’s social emotional skill, increase their ability to communicate and manage emotions, foster empathy bridged with humane education. We will give a brief on Animal League America, which is the world’s largest no-kill adoption shelter, and the origin of the word Mutt-i-gree. This program is open to all ages.

We strongly urge you to call ahead and confirm all dates, times, locations and details associated with this event. Staten Island Parent is not responsible for any changes or cancellations made to this event. Dates, times, locations, and details are subject to change at any time without notice.
