September is National Preparedness Month, and it serves as a reminder to take action to prepare for the types of emergencies that could occur. Visitors will learn how to prepare their families, pets and businesses if disaster strikes. Kids can meet emergency responders and check out their vehicles. There will be a number of community organizations with booths and information. Admission to the Children’s Museum and festival is free from 12-5 p.m. with online registration.
