Wildlife thrives all over NYC, especially in the Hudson River Park (HRPK) waters. Tune into @HudsonRiverPark’s Instagram Live for an insider’s look into the Park’s Estuarine Sanctuary as the group studies environmental DNA, analyzes microplastics, samples fish populations and more.
HRPK’s River Project conducts research and offers hands-on environmental education and scientific programming with the purpose of communicating the ecological importance of the park’s 400-acre Estuarine Sanctuary. Dedicated to community engagement, stewardship and learning, the River Project offers at-home STEM activities, tours of marine-biology stations and other educational resources to support scientific understanding of the Lower Hudson Estuary.
