Some of my areas of expertise are working with individuals and families impacted by a diagnosis of ASD, learning difficulties, school performance issues, mental illness, and family dynamics. I also treat individuals dealing with identity, eating, and socialization issues.
I treat adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults. It is also my belief that individuals often cannot improve without family involvement. Family dynamics and education is critical in supporting the efforts of those dealing with a mental illness or handicap of any kind. In addition to individual and family treatment, I also work with couples to ensure they have the information that can help them learn to support and not undermine the progress of their loved ones. Often the challenges of having a child or family member with a special need can devastate a marriage and a family.
Helps individuals learn the basic skills needed to succeed in their personal, social academic, and professional lives.
Helps families and couples learn how to support the efforts of their loved ones by educating members about the particular challenges the individual is facing. Provides specific information about how the family can create an environment that is conducive to personal growth and development.
