What is summer in Staten Island without music? Borough President Vito Fossella announced the 2022 Sounds of Summer Concert Series on Staten Island for families and kids to enjoy.
The free concerts take place every Thursday from June 30 to Aug. 25 at various locations throughout the borough. All concerts begin at 7pm with the exception of the concerts on Aug. 18 and Aug. 20 when they will begin at 6:30pm.
The series kicked off last week with bands Grounded4Life and Cause and The Effect at Silver Lake Park.

- June 30: Silver Lake Park (Forest Avenue at Haven Esplanade), featuring Grounded4Life and Cause & the Effects
- July 7: Wolfe’s Pond Park (Cornelia Avenue and Chester Avenue), featuring The Karlus Trapp Band and The Resistance
- July 14: Midland Beach Splaza (Father Capodanno Boulevard at Seaview Avenue), featuring Vinnie Medugno & the Chiclettes with the CODA Band
- July 21: Conference House Park (298 Satterlee St.), featuring Generations and JC & The Funtime Band
- July 28: Historic Richmond Town (441 Clarke Ave.), featuring Just Friends
- Aug. 4: Bloomingdale Park (Ramona Avenue and Lenevar Avenue), featuring Goon Dads and Wicked Revival
- Aug. 11: Snug Harbor Cultural Center (1000 Richmond Terrace), featuring Hughie Lynch and Joan Caddell and the Midnight Choir
- Aug. 18: Fort Wadsworth (210 New York Ave.), featuring Lina Fiscardi and The Black Ties at 6:30pm. The concert celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Gateway National Recreation Area.
- Aug. 25: Westerleigh Park (Neal Dow Avenue and Maine Avenue), featuring JD & the All Stars and T-N-T with Mike Campbell
A special concert with headliners Vito Picone and the Elegants, featuring Bob D’Andrea and The Dreamers, will take place on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 6:30pm at the Midland Beach Turtle Circle (Father Capodanno Boulevard at Hunter Avenue).
The series is sponsored by Fossella and Councilmembers Kamillah Hanks, David Carr and Joe Borelli.The borough president’s office said shows will be canceled in the event of extreme weather. For more information, visit the website or follow the borough president on Facebook.
