Manhattan

Summer on the Hudson: West Side County Fair

WHEN: Sept. 10, 1 – 6 pm

WHERE: Pier I in Riverside Park South, West 70th Street, Upper West Side

AGES: All

WHAT: Enjoy a full day of county fair magic in Manhattan with live bands, sideshow performers, carnival rides and games, local food and merchandise vendors, cotton candy, and more! 

WANT TO GO?: Free.

 

The Feast of San Gennaro

WHEN: Sept. 14-24, see website for complete schedule

WHERE: Mulberry Street, Little Italy

AGES: All

WHAT: The Feast of San Gennaro is not only a New York icon, but a world known 11 day event which stretches throughout 11 blocks of the Little Italy neighborhood. For generations, this feast has always been an important part of the neighborhood representing Italian culture and traditions.

WANT TO GO?: Admission is free.

 

The Uptown Night Market

WHEN: Thursday, Sept. 14, 4 – 10 pm.

WHERE: Under the Arches in West Harlem, 133rd St and 12th Ave, West Harlem

AGES: All

WHAT: This beloved food event is a celebration of food and culture with diverse performances and various all-family activities.

Mid-Autumn Family Festival

WHAT: Ferragosto is a special day in the community filled with Italian culture, delicious food, wonderful live entertainment, and great fun.

Woodlawn Family Fun Day 2023

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 23, 1 – 4 pm

WHERE: Indian Field in Van Cortlandt Park, East 233 St. bet. Jerome Ave. and Van Cortlandt Park East, Bronx

WHAT: Come out for a day of family fun activities with Divi Roxx, KidsConfetti Face Painters, Woodlawn Family Walks, Nature Crafts, and much more!

Brooklyn

 

Brooklyn Night Market

WHEN: Monday, Sept. 25, 4 – 10 pm.

WHERE: Industry City, 220 36th St, Sunset Park

AGES: All

WHAT: The night market features a curated and diverse selection of NYC-based food, beverage, and packaged goods vendors as well as live performances and various all-family activities.

WANT TO GO?: Free admission.

 

Queens

 

NYC Unicycle Festival 2023

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 2, 12 – 5 pm

WHERE: Seven Gables Playground, Oceania St. & 210th St. Oakland Gardens

AGES: All

WHAT: This annual festival brings together recreational riders, world-class performers, mountain and off-road unicycle enthusiasts, mono-wheel vehicle inventors, and thousands of people who have not ridden in umpteen years, along with circus enthusiasts, extreme sports viewers, and anyone seeking an unusual sight–even for NYC! Activities will include a learn-to-ride area, a demonstration by King Charles Troupe, and games and relays.

Queens Night Market

WHEN: Saturdays, 5pm – 12am, through Oct. 29.

WHERE: Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Grand Central Parkway and Van Wyck Expy

Flushing

AGES: All

WHAT: This large, family-friendly open-air night market features up to 100 independent vendors selling merchandise, art, and food along with small-scale cultural performances, all celebrating the rich cultural diversity and heritage of NYC and Queens. 

WANT TO GO?: Admission is free.

 

Queens County Fair

WHEN: Sept. 8-10, Friday, 6 – 9 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 11 am – 6 pm.

WHERE: Queens County Farm Museum, 75-50 Little Neck Parkway, Glen Oaks

AGES: All

WHAT: Celebrate the 40th anniversary of this Fair with pie eating and corn husking contests, hayrides, carnival rides, and midway games. Visit the main stage and family entertainment tents featuring an array of live music and theatrical performances, check out local craft and food vendors and get recycling tips at the Con Edison Ecology booth. This traditional agricultural fair boasts Blue Ribbon competitions in produce, arts & crafts and more.

WANT TO GO?: $15-$70. Additional fees apply for hayrides, carnival rides, midway games & some other attractions.

 

Celebrate the Arts at Kew Gardens Community Arts Day

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 9, 11 am – 6 pm

WHERE: Kew Gardens Business District, Austin Street, Lefferts Blvd, 83 Avenue, Kew Gardens

AGES: All

WHAT: The entire neighborhood will be turned into an art experience with an eclectic mix of artwork created by talented Queens artists sold on the main streets along with local musicians playing a popular mix of music genres, art experiences for children and adults, face painting, lots of surprises and much much more!

Glendale Kiwanis Community Day

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 9, 11 am – 4 pm

WHERE: The Shops at Atlas Park, 8000 Cooper Avenue, Glendale

AGES: All

WHAT: Celebrate “Kids Day” on the Center Green with music, food, games, prizes & face painting.

WANT TO GO?: Free.

 

Harvest Festival

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 16, 10 am – 7 pm

WHERE: Supreme Court Square, 88-11 Sutphin Blvd., Jamaica

AGES: 3 and up

WHAT: A free and fun kid friendly event that brings different vendors and entertainers to the area to have a good time. There will be many different cultural foods and entertainment such as face painting and petting zoos.

Poseidon Parade

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 16, 12 – 2 pm

WHERE: Beach 94th Street Plaza in Rockaway Beach

AGES: All

WHAT: Come out for a family-friendly celebration featuring costumed participants sharing their floats and artwork while celebrating the end of summer.

WANT TO GO?: Free.

 

NYSoM SuperHero Festival 2023

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 23, 2 – 6 pm

WHERE: Evergreen Park, St. Felix Ave 60th Pl., Ridgewood

AGES: All

WHAT: This festival will feature a SuperHero Carnival along with your favorite Heroes, Heroines, Villains, classic video game legends, and more.

The College Point Street Fair

WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 24, 11 am – 5:30 pm

WHERE: College Point Boulevard between 20th avenue and 14th avenue, College Point

AGES: All

WHAT: Don’t miss the only street fair in NYC with free rides! Plus, games, rides, vendors, and food.

Bell Blvd Sunday Stroll

WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 24, 12 – 5 pm

WHERE: Along Bell Blvd between 38 Ave and 43 Ave, Bayside

Richmond County Fair

WHERE: Historic Richmond Town, 441 Clarke Ave.

WHAT: It’s that time of year again! Celebrate the best of Staten Island with fun food, music and so much more at the famous Richmond County Fair.

Fall Harvest Festival
