Hey Staten Island families! There’s a new way to explore the Big Apple this summer with a new children’s travel experience that begins in Downtown Manhattan.

Conrad New York Downtown, a luxury hotel located in lower Manhattan’s Battery Park, recently launched “Little Kid, Big City!” a new children’s travel experience designed to give kids a fun way to visit popular locales around New York City. Want to know the best part? The hotel is located pretty close to Whitehall Terminal where the Staten Island Ferry docks! Talk about a convenient way for Staten Islanders to begin a day in the city!

What To Expect With the New Children’s Travel Experience

Little Kid, Big City!, which was inspired by the children’s book Little Kid, Big City!: New York, is an interactive self-guided tour that gives young travelers the opportunity to embrace some of NYC’s popular stomping grounds like the Bronx Zoo, Statue of Liberty and One World Trade Center. Hungry tykes can also enjoy some bites along the way at iconic pizza and bagel spots.

“Families can create their own itinerary, choose which places to visit, and follow along with an adventurous family as they explore New York,” explained Juan Izquierdo, hotel manager at Conrad New York Downtown.

The experience is suitable for ages 8 to 12 but is fun for the whole family. Children receive a travel kit and activity booklet when they start their adventure. Once the activity booklet is complete, tiny adventurers can collect a prize from Conrad New York Downtown’s Guest Relations team.

The travel kit includes:

  • Children’s Suitcase
  • Activity Booklet
  • Midtown Manhattan Itinerary
  • Lower Manhattan Itinerary
  • Multi-Color Crayons
  • Skin Tone Crayons
  • Color Pencils
  • Fabric Pouch (to hold above art supplies)
  • NYC-Themed Stickers
  • Passport (blank)
  • Postcards (blank for kids to fill out)
  • Tissue Paper

Children receive a toy taxi at the end, which can be redeemed at the concierge desk.
