Get ready for some excitement! Discovery Channel’s beloved “Shark Week” is making a splash again for its 37th year, kicking off on Sunday, July 20 at 8 PM ET/PT. Don’t miss out on this thrilling event!

Fins up for fun! Can you guess who the master of ceremonies will be this year? Drumroll, please…  Tom Bergeron. Yes! Emmy® Award-winning television personality Tom Bergeron will be hosting!

Dancing With The Sharks?

Dancing With Sharks (working title) is set to make waves during Shark Week 2025. This unique special showcases an incredible underwater dance showdown in which skilled divers team up with their shark friends for an unforgettable competition. 

Five talented divers, all trained by an amazing underwater choreographer, will take the plunge and dazzle us with their moves during exhilarating underwater performances. From the playful Hammerhead Hoedown to the lively Tiger Trot, they’ll be pushing the limits of dancing with a twist of danger. With just one chance to impress the judges, they’ll vie for the title of the very first Dancing With Sharks champion. You will not want to miss this thrilling underwater showdown!

Where To Watch

Shark Week 2025 is set to premiere on the Discovery Channel and will be available for streaming on Discovery+ and Max, kicking off Sunday, July 20. You can also catch it on fuboTV and Hulu + Live TV, which provide live access to the Discovery Channel. For those interested in previous episodes and specials, they are available for purchase or rental on platforms like Amazon Video and Apple TV.

Aquariums To Visit During Shark Week 2025

If you and your family are excited to jump into Shark Week and experience these incredible creatures up close, you’re in for a treat! There are numerous local aquariums hosting a variety of sharks.

Shark Party

You’re invited to a Shark Party at the aquarium, where you’ll learn the truth about those much-misunderstood but iconic denizens of the deep, the sharks! Learn about the vital roles sharks play in our marine ecosystems with activities and entertainment, including Wildlife Theater, crafts, photo ops, keeper chats, games, costumed characters, puppets, and more.

The New York Aquarium, part of the Wildlife Conservation Society, is on 14 acres on Coney Island and is home to 350 marine species and 18 shark and ray species.

Adventure Aquarium

1 Riverside Dr, Camden

Attractions include Caribbean Currents, Creature Feature, Hippo Haven, the KidZone, Little Blue Beach, Ocean Realm, Penguin Park, Piranha Falls, Sea Turtle Cove, Shark Realm, Stingray Beach Club, Gill’s Grotto, and Touch A Shark. You can even walk just inches above the 21-foot deep Shark Realm exhibit on a V-shaped rope suspension bridge.

Jenkinson’s Aquarium

The aquarium’s exhibits give visitors the opportunity to get up close to animals from all over the world, including African penguins, harbor seals, local sea life, turtles, parrots, and sharks. For an extra fee, visitors can also participate in animal encounters to meet penguins and sloths.

New Jersey Sea Life Aquarium

This NYC-themed aquarium, dubbed the City Under the Sea, features exhibits with a nod to NYC’s most memorable moments—like Times Square, Fifth Avenue, rush hour, and Studio 54. Visitors will see sharks, sting rays, jellyfish, clownfish, seahorses, starfish, and more.

Aquarium Live Streams

Bring the aquarium to you with these live streams!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

You can access ten live cams displaying different Monterey Bay exhibits, including sea otters, jellyfish, the open ocean, and more.

Wildlife Conservation Society

The Bronx Zoo offers live cams of some of the hottest spots at the zoo, including some of their aquatic spots!

Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium offers nine live, underwater streams, including the Ocean Voyager cam, which allows visitors to see the majestic Whale Shark in action.
