Halloween Harvest at Luna Park

Scary season is upon us, and you’ll probably want to head to some fun festive Halloween events with your family. If this describes you, check out Halloween Harvest at Luna Park in Coney Island, Brooklyn!

Located just a few exits off the Belt Parkway when you cross the Verrazzano, the amusement park’s Halloween Harvest will have lots of exciting activities for families and kids of all ages to enjoy. The seasonal event will kick off on Friday, Sept. 22 and run on weekday holidays, Fridays and weekends through Sunday, Oct. 29. (Luna Park hours are based on weather and season, and you can find all hours and dates of operation here.)

Psst…Looking for more ways to celebrate Halloween? Check out Six Flags Fright Fest, and keep this list of local pumpkin patches handy for when you want to start searching for your family’s perfect pumpkin.

What to Expect at Halloween Harvest at Luna Park

The month-long event will feature many fun activities for families and kids to enjoy. These include balloon twisting, caricature portraits, trick-or-treating, tractor racing, a pumpkin decorating station and a pumpkin patch.

And there’s lots more fun to be had, especially for anyone who loves carnival food! The popular park will offer autumn treats across popular dining options including Half Moon Food Court, Coney’s Cones and Salt & Sizzle. For all pumpkin spice lovers, guests can indulge in pumpkin spiced funnel cake, spooky churros, pumpkin spiced gelato, pumpkin spiced fried oreos, and purple and orange Halloween-themed cotton candy, to really indulge in the season and get into the spooky spirit.

“Nothing beats autumn in New York and Halloween Harvest at Luna Park each year, a cherished tradition offering visitors the chance to create memories with family and friends that will last a lifetime,” Alessandro Zamperla, president and CEO of Central Amusement International, Inc., (CAI) said. (CAI is the company that developed Luna Park. The Zamperla family has been involved in the amusement industry for five generations with their roots in circus, carnival rides and ride manufacturing.)

Beginning Saturday, Nov. 18, Luna Park visitors will experience a thrilling winter destination boasting a skating rink, select rides and attractions, holiday lights and décor, photos with Santa, holiday shopping, and festive food options to fulfill the cravings of New Yorkers and visitors alike.

“We are excited to announce our first annual Frost Fest at Luna Park, extending our offerings throughout the winter months and inviting our neighbors near and far to partake in holiday activities fun for the whole family,” Zamperla said.
