The Scoop on National Ice Cream Day
We can thank President Ronald Reagan for giving us National Ice Cream Day, which is celebrated annually on the third Sunday in July. According to National Today, Reagan wanted to commemorate a treat enjoyed by over 90 percent of the U.S. population. He not only decreed a day for ice cream in 1984, but proclaimed July as National Ice Cream Month, too.
