The Top 6 Roller Skating Rinks Nearby Staten Island

Roller skating isn’t just a great way for kids to be active and stay healthy, it’s also a fun, inexpensive pastime that the whole family can enjoy. Whether it’s too cold to play outside or it’s too hot to handle the sweltering summer, rollerskating is a great alternative activity. While there are currently no roller skating rinks on Staten Island, there are plenty in New Jersey that are just a short drive away!

1. Rollermagic’s South Amboy Arena

270 N. Stevens Ave., South Amboy
Approximate drive from Staten Island: 20 minutes

Cost: $10 Afternoon Sk8; $6 Family Sk8; $11 Evening Sk8; $15 Late Sk8; $5 skate rentals

Head to this classic roller rink for afternoon skating, family sessions, groovy late night skating, and more. The arena has public and private parties, skate lessons for kids, and special skating sessions such as graduation celebrations and shark skating.

2. Woodbridge Community Center Roller Skating Rink

600 Main St., Woodbridge
Approximate drive from Staten Island: 25 minutes

Hours: Fridays 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Cosmic Skate)
Saturdays 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Sundays 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Woodbridge Community Center has fun for the whole family, such as ice hockey, swimming, and skyline mini golf. The roller skating rink has an arcade and cafe in addition to public skating sessions and birthday parties.

3. Inline Skating Club of America

170 Schuyler Ave., North Arlington

The rink, which is home to the Grizzlies traveling hockey team, offers open skating, skating lessons for beginners, hockey lessons, a video game arcade, a snack bar, birthday parties, and more.

4. Branch Brook Park Roller Skating Center

$19.00 for Admission & Skate Rental (Plus Service Fee)
$13.00 Admission for those with their Own Skates (Plus Service Fee)
$5.00 Spectators Fee for Non-Skating Adults 18yrs+ Only (Plus Service Fee)

Head to Branch Brook Park for public skating and lessons, themed skate nights set to the best music, STEM field trips, special holiday weekend skating events, arcade games, and more. The rink features a refurbished interior.

5. Florham Park Roller Rink

This rink specializes in beginner group lessons, private lessons, and figure skating. There’s even a figure skating team! Birthday parties will resume in September when the rink opens again after August maintenance.
