Snow tubing is an exhilarating winter activity that’s perfect for everyone, and there are over a dozen awesome spots to enjoy it in NJ, upstate NY, and Pennsylvania! Even better? These destinations offer fantastic winter day trips for your family, and some are the ideal choice for a fun weekend escape to shake off that cabin fever! Make your way to one of these thrilling snow tubing parks near Staten Island for some thrilling downhill adventures! So, bundle up in your snow pants, coats, boots, hats, and mittens, and get ready for an unforgettable day of family fun at these amazing snow tubing parks!

Snow Tubing in NJ

1. Campgaw Mountain

Distance from Staten Island: Approximately a 1-hour car ride

Tubes are provided and a surface lift is available for guests to ride up the hill. Choose between different runs with varied levels of rolls and pitch. No experience or special equipment is needed at this snow tubing location in NJ. You must be 48” tall.

 2. Mountain Creek Resort

Distance from Staten Island: Approximately a 1-hour, 30-minute car ride

The resort has a tubing park that spans 5 acres and features a magic carpet lift that brings riders back to the top of the hill after they slide down. All riders must be at least 42″ ” to ride alone. Riders who are between 36″- 42″ must ride in a tandem tube or chain link with a responsible adult. Tandem tubes are first come, first serve. All tubing sessions are 2 hours.

Distance from Staten Island: Approximately a 1½-hour car ride

This Orange County ski resort features a speedy, multi-lane, 600-foot tubing run that is equipped with a carpet lift to bring riders back to the top of the hill. Tubers must be 42” or taller to ride a single tube on the Tubing Hill. Tubers between 36” and 48” may ride in a tandem tube on the Tubing Hill with an adult. Younger kids can also enjoy “Little Tikes Tubing” which entails a winter wonderland complete with a fun-sized tubing hill, made specially for the littlest adventurers!

Slide down a mountain at this resort in Sullivan County that has a dedicated tubing facility in addition to ski slopes and trails. Tubers must be 44″.

This popular ski resort near Staten Island boasts a Tubing Park with exhilarating snow tubing serviced by a conveyor lift, kids’ snowmobiles, and a lodge. There are no height or age limits for tubing as long as riders are tall enough to get in and out and sit up in the tube.

Take the family on a drive to Delaware County for this resort’s lift-service snow tubing that includes a Conveyor Carpet Lift to bring you and your tube to the top of the mountain where all the fun starts. Children must be at least 3 feet tall. Purchase tubing tickets online.

Jack Frost and Big Boulder are companion ski resorts that offer snow tubing in Pennsylvania. Tubing is available at both locations. Must be at least 4 years old and a minimum of 42” tall.

This Pennsylvania tubing park features two tow lifts that bring tubers to the top of the hill for an easy and fun experience. Children must be at least 40 inches tall to ride the large hill, but there is a separate hill available with four lanes. Children are not permitted to ride with adults.

No need to walk up the hill after your glide, the lift will take you right back up to the top. Tubers must be 42 inches or taller to tube the main hill. There’s a Kiddie Tubing area for guests 41 inches and shorter, complete with smaller, child-sized tubes for younger tubers.
