Best Places to Go River Tubing in New Jersey and Nearby

Get tubular, dude! River tubing is a great family activity that almost anyone can do. Browse this list of locations that offer river tubing in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York to be on your way to a fun summer adventure that your family will love. It’s a good idea to browse through each website or call to find out more about reservation rates and any rules and guidelines that are in place.

River Tubing in New Jersey

Located on the Egg Harbor River, this campground provides lots of opportunities for tubing, canoeing and kayaking. You can rent equipment on site (tube rental is $30 per tube). Stay overnight or just enjoy a fun day trip. 

Delaware River Camp Ground

Located in the Delaware Water Gap area, this scenic camp provides a great family getaway focusing on river fun. For accomodations, you can choose to stay in a tent, cabin or RV. In addition to water sports, other family activities include sports courts, mini golf, picnic areas, even a swimming pool. Check the website for rates.

Lakeview Marina

You can do some easy tube cruising around the lake, or challenge yourself with tube surfing. Here, riders stand or kneel on the tube while being towed by a boat. Other water sports include wakeboarding and water skiing. Designed for all experience levels, instructors teach you how to get up and ride or improve your technique.

Here’s another place for river tubing in New Jersey. When you arrive, you’ll take a shuttle to the drop-off point, approximately 0.5 miles down the road. There you will be greeted by a waterfront team member and given your river tube, any other gear you rented, and a fitted personal flotation device. You and your family will enjoy a scenic, 5-mile float along the river. Tubing rates vary, but start at around $38 for a single tube.

River Tubing in Pennsylvania

This Delaware River tubing spot is in Pennsylvania, located less than a mile from the Crayola Experience. Enjoy lots of scenic views of both PA and NJ as you enjoy a fun float along the river. Tube rentals start at around $32.

Head to the Poconos for a fun day on the water. You can tube, kayak, canoe and raft. The tube trip is 4 miles, with a duration of about 3.5 hours. Tubers must know how to swim and be at least 6 years old.

Kittatinny Canoes

Choose from two available tubing trips: Pond Eddy to Knights Eddy is great for beginners  (3-4 hours, 3 miles). Knights Eddy to Matamoras is for beginners to intermediate (5-6 hours, 6 miles). Both trips are $38.
