A brand-new Farmers Market is bringing fresh, organic, and locally sourced food to this thriving community! Located in a vibrant area surrounded by two senior living facilities, Camelot, Grace Foundation, and Sea View Rehabilitation Center, the market provides healthy and high-quality alternatives for residents, businesses, and families alike.

Join this hands-on overview of composting, hosted by Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden! Families are encouraged to bring food scraps that they can contribute along with “browns” such as leaves and pine needles to a compost bin in a lasagna style. Participants will have the opportunity to meet worms, who are an integral part of good compost.

ShopRite Kidz Cook: Spring Salad
Join the ShopRite Kidz Cook team at the museum! Young cooks will choose ingredients to make a delicious and nutritious salad. ShopRite Kidz Cook at Staten Island Children’s Museum is a caregiver-and-me program that introduces children to diverse foods, explains cooking concepts, and helps build dexterity with cooking utensils.
