Pete Davidson and Colin Jost are turning their retired Staten Island Ferry into a comedy club for one night.

For many Staten Islanders, the ferry is just a part of their daily commute. But for Pete Davidson and Colin Jost, it’s the perfect place to throw a free, floating comedy show.
The comedians and Staten Island natives, who famously purchased the decommissioned John F. Kennedy Staten Island Ferry for $280,000 in 2022, will host a free, one-night-only comedy show aboard the vessel on September 17. The event, sponsored by Snapple, will take place at Pier 17 in Manhattan, where the ferry will temporarily transform into the “Snapple Island Ferry.”
Produced by The Stand Group, the event will feature Davidson and Jost as hosts, along with performances from rising comedians. A limited number of free tickets are being released daily from September 3 through September 8, with attendees able to claim two tickets per person.
The 60-minute show begins at 7 pm on September 17 and promises plenty of laughs and, of course, free Snapple.

Davidson and Jost’s ferry purchase has been making headlines since the pair bought the retired vessel at auction. While the two have already hosted events aboard the ferry, including a New York Fashion Week show in 2025, this may be its most entertaining transformation yet.
“Turning the ferry into a floating comedy club with Snapple makes more sense than anything else we considered, and it still doesn’t make much sense,” Davidson said. “Either way, we’re giving people a chance to take a break, have a laugh, and do something completely ridiculous with us.”
