Staten Islanders…start your engines! Monster Jam, one of the most adrenaline-charged family fun motorsports in the world, will roar into New Jersey and Long Island in early 2023 for its Arena Championship Series East.
The action-packed motorsports experience returns to Newark at the Prudential Center, Jan. 27-29. It will also be in Long Island’s Belmont Park at the UBS Arena, Feb. 3-5.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Monster Jam features athletes locked in intense competitions of speed and skill. The drivers of Monster Jam trucks are trained male and female athletes who have mastered the physical strength and mental stamina needed to compete. They’ve also mastered the dexterity to control the very heavy trucks, which are capable of doing an array of movements, including backflips, vertical two-wheel skills and racing at speeds up to 70 mph. Quite impressive!

Monster Jam in Newark, NJ and Belmont Park, NY
Monster Jam at both locations offers up some cool family fun and entertainment. It all begins at the Monster Jam Pit Party held on Saturday and Sunday. Kids and families will get to see the massive trucks up close, meet their favorite drivers and crews, get autographs, take pictures and enjoy other family-friendly activities.
The fun-filled experience allows fans of all ages to get up close access to the Monster Jam teams and get an insider’s look at how the sturdy trucks are built to stand up to the competition.
Drivers will show off amazing skills and all-out racing in fierce head-to-head battles for the Event Championship. The 12,000-pound trucks will perform in freestyle, skills, donuts and racing competitions.
The Monster Jam Drivers
The Arena Championship Series East features eight skilled athletes fighting for the championship. Competitors include:
- 2022 Rookie of the Year Weston Anderson in the legendary Grave Digger looks to repeat as series champion.
- Armando Castro grabs the bull by the horns in El Toro Loco.
- Linsey Read returns to full time competition behind the wheel of Monster Mutt Dalmatian.
The Arena Series East Champion will receive a highly coveted automatic bid to the Monster Jam World Finals to compete for the title of World Champion, which will be held in Nashville on July 1, 2023.
