The SMURFS are in Staten Island? An Exciting Visit to Community Park

The SMURFS are in Staten Island? The SMURFS are set to arrive at Staten Island’s SIUH Community Park, adding a splash of excitement to the FerryHawks’ “Camp Day” on Thursday, July 17 at 10:30 am. This event is part of the citywide SMURFS Summer celebration leading up to the premiere of Paramount Animation’s SMURFS movie on July 18.

Families and summer camps can join in the fun with meet-and-greet opportunities featuring Smurfette, Papa Smurf, and No Name. Expect an exciting, lively atmosphere filled with music, games, and ample chances for photos, ensuring smiles for both kids and adults throughout the ballgame.

Beyond the entertainment, the SMURFS will also be making a meaningful contribution with a $10,000 donation to the Staten Island University Hospital Foundation, aimed at supporting pediatric cancer programs. This appearance is just one of many events scheduled during a week of SMURFS festivities across New York City’s five boroughs, including activities at botanical gardens and children’s museums, all celebrating the film’s release while also engaging in charitable endeavors.

Julie Coker, President and CEO of New York City Tourism + Conventions, expressed excitement, stating, “We’re thrilled that New York City is the official kickoff and home of SMURFS Summer. It’s a wonderful way for families to enjoy fun events while exploring the city’s vibrant neighborhoods and attractions.”

The new SMURFS film features the voices of Rihanna as Smurfette and John Goodman as Papa Smurf. In the real world, they go on an adventurous mission to rescue Papa Smurf from evil wizards. This week, families in Staten Island will get to experience this enchanting journey firsthand!
